A minimum of 48 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange a lesson.
Notice must be given directly to your instructor by telephone call or text message. Messages sent via social media, email, or third-party apps will not be accepted as valid cancellation notice.
If less than 48 hours’ notice is given, the full lesson fee will be charged.
If you fail to attend a lesson without prior notice, the full lesson fee will be charged.
Repeated cancellations or rearrangements may result in the withdrawal of regular lesson slots and removal from the instructor’s diary. Future lessons will then be subject to availability and instructor discretion.
Any outstanding cancellation fees must be settled before further lessons are taken.
Lesson duration and frequency will be agreed between the instructor and the pupil in advance. Lessons are typically delivered in extended sessions to support structured learning.
In the event that the instructor is delayed, you will be notified where it is legal and safe to do so.
To secure an initial lesson and reserve diary time, payment for the first scheduled lesson is required in advance.
A lesson slot is not confirmed until this payment has been received.
If cancellation occurs more than 14 days before the first scheduled lesson, this payment will be refunded in full.
If cancellation occurs within 14 days of the first scheduled lesson, the payment will not be refunded, as diary time has been reserved and alternative bookings may have been declined.
If WyeDrive is unable to provide the agreed lesson, the payment will be refunded in full or transferred to a mutually agreed alternative date.
Lesson fees are payable at least 48 hours in advance unless otherwise agreed.
For structured programmes, starter phases, or block bookings, payment terms will be agreed at the time of booking.
Outstanding balances must be settled before further lessons are taken. The instructor reserves the right to suspend or cancel future lessons where payment has not been received.
Lesson fees are non-refundable except where stated within these Terms & Conditions.
Lesson prices and structures are subject to review and may be amended with reasonable notice.
Block booking discount is given under the condition that the pupil will use the block of lessons within a reasonable time frame, typically 12 weeks from the date of the first lesson unless otherwise agreed.
If a refund is to be given on the balance of any hours remaining, then the full hourly rate will be charged for the hours that have already been taken. The remainder, less admin fee of £20, will be refunded via BACS within 3 days (where possible) of your written request to terminate.
The instructor reserves the right to rearrange any lesson to a mutually convenient time if unavailable due to illness, mechanical breakdown, driving test commitments, or other unforeseen circumstances.
Every effort will be made to provide reasonable notice and rearrange lessons promptly.
All pupils agree that they will attend lessons fit to drive and free from alcohol or drugs.
If you suspect that you may be impaired by alcohol, drugs, illness, fatigue, or medication, you must inform your instructor.
If the instructor believes you are not fit to drive, the lesson will be terminated and the full lesson fee will be charged.
Use of the instructor’s vehicle for the practical driving test is subject to availability and the instructor’s professional judgement.
Test fees and vehicle hire fees must be paid in advance.
The instructor will advise when a pupil has reached a safe and consistent test standard. If, in the instructor’s professional opinion, the pupil is not ready, the instructor reserves the right to withdraw use of the vehicle.
If agreed preparation lessons are missed or not completed prior to the test, the instructor reserves the right to withdraw use of the vehicle.
The instructor will ensure the vehicle is roadworthy and suitable for test. If the test is cancelled solely due to vehicle defect (not caused by pupil damage), the instructor will reimburse the replacement test fee.
The instructor accepts no liability for test cancellations due to DVSA action, examiner illness, adverse weather, or any circumstance beyond their control. In such cases, the lesson and vehicle hire fee remain payable.
If the vehicle is damaged by the pupil prior to the test and is rendered unsuitable, all associated costs remain the responsibility of the pupil.
